s technologies and functionality once exclusive to desktop software converge with the web browser, it is increasingly possible to build sites and services offering robust features and true interactivity. Pioneering sites like Amazon, CNET, and eTrade, as well as upstarts like Shutterfly and eVite clearly demonstrate that the browser has become a viable platform for software development and delivery.
I have a long track record of designing and developing sites like these, and continue to seek out challenging projects that exceed what has been tried and tested on the Internet. For each project, I work closely with a client's product marketers and engineers to craft an intelligent, intuitive user experience. A project usually begins with a written user interface specification, which defines the site's organization and interactive pathways, followed by an extended design phase, and culminates in a clickable HTML prototype that simulates the site's functionality. The resulting site incorporates human factors, usability testing, UI conventions, and aesthetic trends, and is designed with an eye toward technical limitations, bandwidth, and delivery schedule.
For examples of recent web applications and services I've designed, see the projects listed at left.
