While the intial redesign of the mySimon site was focused on improvements to layout, search functionality, and integration of content and advertising, a number of additional features and enhancements were planned for the months following the site's launch. Among these enhancements were robust new personalization features designed to foster customer retention and encourage repeat visits to the site. Included in this list were: A gift calendar allowing users to save gift ideas for holidays, anniversaries, and birthdays, complete with user-defined reminders and price alerts as each gift-giving event approaches. A personal form-filler that stores users' shipping and billing information to simplify the check-out process on various merchants' sites.
