Designed in collaboration with the company's creative, product marketing, and engineering teams, mySimon's new site features an extensive list of enhancements and added features:
- A simplified, modular page layout reduced visual clutter and made site maintentance more manageable.
- An new, more intuitive site hierarchy made finding products easier for end-users.
- A redesigned search engine and new product indexing provided greater accuracy in product searches.
- Redesigned page layouts offered new advertising avenues for both merchants and product manufacturers, including co-branding opportunities for strategic partners.
- Product reviews and topical gift guides provided by the company's new Editorial staff established the site as a comprehensive shopping resource.
The redesign incorporated input from nearly every person in the company, as well as user feedback gathered through several rounds of usablity testing.
